This is one of my favorite AHIMA books, I admit I don't like every text I have been assigned as part of the HIST program I am enrolled in, but this is one of my favorite textbooks. I needed it for my Intro to Healthcare Privacy and Security, it also helps when taking the CCA Certification exam--I got 100% on the compliance exam questions and I believe this book is one of the reasons why I did so well on this part of the exam. This book is in paperback form, and even though it only has 6 chapters, I recommend it for any HIM professional, as well as any healthcare professional who needs a refresher on HIPAA, which is covered in this book. Recommended textbook for students and professionals.Product details

No issues with the delivery or the book.
I just started using it, but so far it is ok.
Useful book.
...but I really have enjoyed this. It's written in a simple and straightforward manner and while I'm using it for school I think it's valuable reading for all patients. If you've ever wondered about those forms your doctor makes you sign, or what HIPAA really is, or why it can be so hard to transfer medical records, this book can help. As regulations keep changing it's increasingly important to know your rights as a patient and how your records are protected.
